Safari and Panther - Latest version?

I'll forever keep my Mirror Door G4.
I'm still running 10.3.9 and fear moving forward.
Is there a version of Safari higher than 1.3.2 (v312.6).
Or do I even want to update Safari? I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.20 and not really having any problems to speak of.

Thanks from an old school Macaholic.

The latest version of Safari for Panther is 1.3. All of the newest browsers require at least Mac OS 10.4, so Firefox 2 is probably your best bet.

No, newer versions of Safari will not run on your 10.3.9 system.
The current version is 4.0.4 - and requires OS X 10.4.11 .

FireFox 2 is not supported now by Mozilla. You may not be having any real problems, but it's only a matter of time before you run into a site that uses newer coding not supported on older browsers, especially one that uses flash videos and other animations.
You can upgrade to the latest version FireFox 3.6, if you upgrade your system to 10.4
If you find that you need to move to a newer browser - most will be supported if you update to 10.4

Thanks for the replies.

Any thoughts on upgrading to 10.4 on my MDD?
Or should I address that in another post?
Thanks, again.

Yes, any MDD can be upgraded to 10.4 or even to 10.5, although 10.5 likes more RAM memory installed. If you are maxed out to 2GB, then either will be fine.
