I have a dynamic-IP DNS mapping to http://nimbus.sytes.net Now I have added that to my /etc/hosts and NetInfo machines as 127.0.0.1 This is to make local connections hugely more efficient, and so that I can copy and paste URLs out of my local browser window absolutely, without having to change the localhost/ or 127.0.0.1 manually at the beginning of the URL.
Now, I just installed phpMyAdmin. When I pointed to the URL http://nibmus.sytes.net/pma232/ it instantly redirected me to my machine's rendezvous name http://nimbus.local/pma232/
It doesn't do that for ANY other local URLs. What is causing it to do this?
