Safari Lockup with Javascript on Numerous Sites

Life was good until I installed Safari 4. Even then, it was still good, then yesterday things went south.

Sites like Drudgereport, Foxnews (haha, don't attack me) failed to open. Drudgereport completely failed to load and causes Safari to have the force quite option applied. Foxnews will partially load, same thing.

But, even beyond that, other sites are hanging up just before final javascript code is loaded causing Safari to hang. Disabling javascript in Safari allows the pages to render successfully (minus javascript features).

I have tried uninstall Safari 4 and reverting back to Safari 3, same result. Installed Safari 4 again and reverted back again, all same results.

Removed all the Input Managers, Plugins, ran permission checks, rebooted, all with no luck.

At this point it's interfering with my life and open to suggestions short of switching to a new browser. Firefox does work fine and I have been using it, but it drives me nuts.

I don't want to be the one to say, "I told you so," but...
IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS IS PRE-RELEASE, TIME-LIMITED SOFTWARE MEANT FOR EVALUATION AND DEVELOPMENT PURPOSES ONLY. THIS SOFTWARE SHOULD NOT BE USED IN A COMMERCIAL OPERATING ENVIRONMENT OR WITH IMPORTANT DATA. BEFORE INSTALLING THIS APPLE SOFTWARE, YOU SHOULD BACK UP ALL OF YOUR DATA AND REGULARLY BACK UP DATA WHILE USING THIS APPLE SOFTWARE.

It shouldn't be interfering with your life because you wouldn't install beta software on a machine that you depend on, right? ;)

I've heard tons of problems about Safari 4 on Mac OS X (surprisingly, it doesn't interfere with anything on my Windows boxes), with really no definitive fix that doesn't require a lot of tinkering.

Safari 4's new JavaScript engine it seems is tough to get rid of. What happens under new user accounts? Do they still exhibit the JavaScript slowness?

About 3 hours after I posted that post, it all started working fine. Granted, Im on Safari 3 now, but all is good in the world. ;)

BETA, whatever. I like to live on the edge. :)
