Safari tabs...

Hi there,

When I open a new tab in safari using apple-T, it opens a blank tab with the cursor blinking waiting for an address. Does anyone know if, or how you can get it to open straight into a pre selected page, ie if I apple-T it opens straight into google.co.uk.

Thanks in advance. I hope I'm not missing something obvious

just thinking,

I suppose I could put a site in my bookmarks bar and right-click, or scroll-wheel click that, but I prefer to use the keyboard....

There's not a way to get it to do this for tabs, but for new windows you can set this up under the General tab of Sarari's Preferences.

What, new tabs don't load your home page? They do in Netscape...

Nope, only new windows load a home page as far as I know.

i'm curious. why do you want it to load google, when the search bar is right there to the right of the address bar. you don't need it to load the page! obviously this only works for google, but it is a solution for your situation.

google was just an example. I thought it would make sense for it to open your homepage or a pre defined page
