"Safari can keep a log of which sites have been visited at what time, and iChat can automatically create chat transcripts that you can review later."

I can't find anywhere in Safari Help or Mac Help how to actually do this.

Can you please help me?
 
For iChat, open it's Preferences, click on the Messages icon. At the bottom "Automatically save chat transcripts" and choose folder.

For safari, the closet is the History, but no time or dates.
