Can anyone offer any feedback on the following scenario?
At first, I thought my OSX was acting up as the result of a few orphan files left behind from a trial version of Allume's "Internet Cleanup." The problems seemed to start when the trial application "timed out" after 30 days, and I kept getting a prompt message upon startup.
I went to Allume's web site and found instructions for a complete un-install of "Internet Cleanup" files.
The problem continued: upon startup, the graphics were "jittery" and there were random areas where the pixels were askew. The screen display was definitely messed up. All applications were basically working, but the pixel problem would make re-starting necessary.
In desperation, I installed a fresh copy of the trial "Internet Cleanup" and then UN-installed it, along with all related files.
The problem continued.
Unsure of what to do next, I resorted to a complete re-install of all my basic systems; Tiger, applications, etc.
For a short time, the computer seemed to operate fresh and new; no problems.
Then, they quickly reappeared.
Has anyone out there experienced jittery display problems?
Looks like the system is going into the shop on Monday. Thank god it's still under warranty.
Ideas? Suggestions?
