Setting up Mail

Hi
I live in the UK, my son has just moved to another house and established a broadband account with NTL. He now wants to make an e-mail address for himself but is struggling. He can send mail but as yet is unable to recieve it. At the moment he is trying .Mail. I did attemt to add a 'dummy' acccount on my own G4 but was unable to put anything into the 'e-mail' box as it was greyed out. I am sure this is very simple but it it is baffling me. We also have Entourage available but have not tried this.
Any help would be gratefully received

Email accounts are given by the local ISP that the user is using to get on the net. He must get that ISP's email settings that they give users of their system. Then he must put in those settings on his own computer(Mail). Email is usually handled by email servers at the ISP. He can get his settings from his ISP and plug them into his Mail accounts.
