sharing a new hd over network

Hi,

I just installed a new 250gb hd in my G4 and want to make the partitions available to other users of our network. I dragged the icons into the "Public" folder but when my coworkers try to access them, they get a "volume for harddrive cannot be found" message. They are able to access my original hd with no problems. We are all running 10.3.

How can I make the drive accessable on the network?

Thanks,
Jason

Welcome to the world of computer security that protects the OS X novices. Just download the free application Share Points and once you turn on sharing in OS X System Preferences, run SharePoints and make whatever folders, data available for sharing using the SharePoints application.

Sure, that is what they might have told you, but it really is just a way of making their server product relevant. ;-)

Ok, I installed SharePoints and set the new HD as a "normal share". But, when my coworker connects to my computer, he still can't see the HD. I looked through the SP faq but couldnt find anything. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!
Jason
