Sherlock troubles

Hi, I've saved a file to my iBooks hard drive but it didn't go where I thought I had saved it... I'm running an older system (MacOSX 10.1.5 - in case that's relevant/useful) and can find the file by typing it's name into Sherlock. However, this version of shirlock doesn't give me the absolute path to where I saved the file. I'd like to move it to my home directory but even though I can open the file from through Shirlock, I can't find it through the finder to move it.

Any way I can find out the absolute path to this file???

thanx in adance of any response (said with an embarrased red face!)

If the file opens in a program, open the program and then open the file from the 'recent' list. Alternatively use the recent items list in the blue apple menu. One open, apple-click on the name of the file in the title bar and it should show you the path to the file.

Hope this helps

Can't you do a Sherlock search for the file, then drag the file from the Sherlock window to the desired place on the hard drive?

I used OS X 10.1 back in the day, but it's been so long I can't remember if you can do this or not.
