How do I uninstall a program in OSX like I would in Windows?

Couldn't find anything that looked promising in System Prefs.

You simply drag the application itself to the trash and empty it (or, for some applications that install themselves into a folder inside of the Applications folder, you drag the entire application's folder to the trash). There is no "uninstall" or "add/remove programs" like there is in Windows.
