Is this extension: ATTOExpressRAID_Enabler.kext part of my SL OS or is it 3rd party and if so what type of software could it be? Currently it's preventing me from installing blackberry software.
It is a 3rd-party driver, probably used for an ATTO-branded RAID PCI card. There is a manual available here, but it looks like the product has been discontinued:
Thanks for the reply, ElDiablo!
I'm not at my mac at the moment but the error is basically this: system extension was installed improperly and cannot be used see developer for info.
I assume that means the developer of the software that installed the kext in the first place. The error message appeared immediatley after I installed BB manager software onto my mac.
I'm attempting to upgrade my blackberry OS and it gets hung up at the very end when it wants to restart. I'm guessing the kext is getting in the way.
If this is an after market driver, it is likely part of an OSX install. Notice, below, that I have many ATTO drivers, and never installed any of them. They're all dated 5/4/09. Was that date of an update?
I'm on MBP 17" 2.93 DUO, btw. I updated to SL last week.
Here's a grab of the ATTO extensions. You'll notice the modified date of 2003 for the problem extension. I also notice in applications I have ExpresssStripe
and I've seen that name pop up in my quest to resolve this issue. Is that part of the OS?
