Software to use a DV Camcorder to take stills?

Anyone know of a cheap easy piece of software thatll work in 10.2.8?

I have a Canon MiniDV camcorder and once in awhile Id like to be able to take a picture easily. Like in iChat when you do your buddy icon or for just a few pics of my cat or something? Suggestions?

It depends on whether or not your camera supports taking still pictures. Some do, some don't. Have you used the camera to take stills before?

If your camera doesn't support it, your best bet is to capture some DV footage and just extract a still from that.

Thats exactly what I was getting SICK OF. I got a 56kb program haha. Its called GCam. Works awesome.
