Hello!

I have big problems with my software update. I know there are new programs, OSX 10.5.7, Safari 4 ect. BUT my Software Update says there are no new updates.

I checked my log-file and I cant find the 10.5.6 update, but when I check my computer info it says its got 10.5.6...

I have tried to install 10.5.5, 10.5.6 and 10.5.7 manually - nothing works. I cant select the Macintosh HD icon... Its not possible on this volume.

I have tried loads of things.... But nothing.

Anyone? Thanks!

Thanks DetltaMac, but it gives me the same message as when I try to install 10.5.5 or 10.5.6 manually. I can not choose the Macintosh HD. The volume is not fulfilling the requirements...

If you have 10.5.6 now, then the only updates that WILL work is the 10.5.6 Combo update, or the 10.5.7 Combo update.
If you did download that 10.5.7 Combo update, and still get that same message, tell me how much free space you have on your hard drive? The Combo update requires more than 2 GB of space free.

If you boot to your OS X 10.5 installer DVD, and choose Disk Utility from the Utilities menu, you can try a repair of your hard drive (different from Repair Disk Permissions)
If, after trying that repair, and you have sufficient space for the update, you may need to reinstall OS X, using the Archive & Install option.
Let us know how it goes....
