Mac OS X already plays some sounds for a limited number of actions in the Finder, like emptying the trash. You can turn these sounds on by opening the System Preferences, visiting "Sound," and enabling "Play user interface sound effects" in the "Sound Effects" pane.

You can add even more sound effects by installing the program "Xounds" from here:

I highly recommend against that, though, as it involves some low-level hacks to the system and may cause instability with your computer in certain situations.
