start up application

Hi just a little question:

How do you prevent some application (like konfabulator or Skype) from starting when the computer starts ???

I run under panther.
 
Open the System Preferences, then "Users" or "Accounts". Select the user, then select "Login Items". You can then remove any applications from that list that you don't want to start automatically.
