streaming server on darwin?

Has anyone gotten Darwin Streaming Server to make on Darwin 1.0? Its insane that Apple will cater to 4 other OS's and not their own.

Five OS's mentioned on this page but no Darwin.

Also no mention of the Darwin OS on the Quicktime Streaming page.

You can download the compiled binary for FreeBSD. I haven't tried, but it might work on OSX. (could someone confirm that for me?)

No it doesn't work. Last time I checked FreeBSD didn't run on PPC. Its an Intel binary.

Don't blame Apple.

It's open source. If you wanted to make it work, you should program it yourself for OS 9.

A group out of Brazil made it work under MacOS Classic. And it's been available for FIVE months now.

Now I don't know if I'd run 100 or 1000 streams this way...but I got it to function as a test in my intranet just fine.
