Superdrive problem??

Hi i have just bought a used grey macbook and on my girlfriends macbook the superdrive sucks the disc in almost straight away whereas on my macbook i have to push the disc almost all the way in before it actually sucks it in. Is there anyway of fixing this and making it suck the disc in like it should do?

Well it is that way (push it almost all the way in) on my Macbook Pro & my nephews black Macbook. Maybe it depends on the manufacture of the superdrive that is in the Macs. To see if this is the case launch /Applications/Utilities/System Profiler and in the program click on 'Disk Burning' and check out if your two Macs have different brands of SuperDrives.
