Superdrive upgrade for Macmini

Hi,

I bought a Macmini 1.4ghz, but at the time i didn't purchase the superdrive.

Does any one know anywhere in the UK where I can buy one from?

Can I get a 3rd party one will that work?

You have to check for the pioneer DVR-K04 which is the drive that comes as a swap on the website of the companies offering this service.

www.macway.com is a french company offering it and they probably will ship to Uk

The K04 is excellent for the Mini and very affordable if you install it yourself. My only gripe with it is the noise it makes sometimes when I boot up. Aside from that, it was only a few greenbacks more than the Apple option, faster, and does Dual Layer.

Wow - good find! I was looking at buying one off a US seller on Ebay.co.uk, but was worried about import duty & VAT.

Macway do definitely ship to the UK (carriage on this drive would be GBP15) and I shouldn't have to worry about hidden costs ::ha:: Yay!
