Syncronizing Spell-Check between Mail and Safari

Is it possible to share "learned" spellings between dictionaries in Mail and Safari? And if so, how?

As far as I know the cocoa-based spelling checker is system-wide.

Yep that is the way it works for me.

The only limitation of the spell check is that is operates in one language only. Not very useful if you use several languages every day.

Yep, you guys are right, the spell check is system-wide. Looks like my installation is just developing Alzheimer's again. Must have caught it from me.

Funny how the Help files for Mail and Safari don't mention that universal feature. And from Apple's documentation you would get the impression that each text app has its own dictionary.

Now what were we talking about again?
