Text editor on iPhone

I need to create small text files on an iPhone (3GS) and have them automatically sync to a MacBook (OSX).
I've tried Notes: it only syncs to the Inbox, which is a pain, and is not stable (occasionally loses files or reverts to older version).
I've tried FastKeyboard: it doesn't synch from the phone to the Mac.
Is there any software which will do this?

check out "SimpleNote", free from the app store, this is what I use with my iPod touch, and any message I type is immediately synced back to my desktop computer.

There are also a number of DropBox-integrated text editors available for iOS. 2GB of storage is free with DropBox, and the Mac DropBox client has never failed me and synchronizes perfectly.
