The Mac OS X 10.2.8 update strikes again!

My friend has an issue with his dock. such as in iTunes, where it says what music your playing, that wont show up. It's been happening sinse the 10.2.8 update. Anyone know a solution?

It may be caused by the skin your friend is using.

Well he had the skin before 10.2.8 and never had a problem.

Haven't seen this issue before, probably a coincidence about 10.2.8 More likely caused by the skin, or a not quite working haxie, which 10.2.8 might have exacerbated. One can always 'roll back' to 10.2.6 (OK, it's not that simple) You could try cleaning system caches out, or resetting the dock prefs - might work for this.

Yeah, it's probably the theme he has. Ask him if other "dimmed out" menu items appear to be blank as well.

people using Transparent Dock had problems after the update and there were 2 solutions - one was an update from the TD developer and the other was deleting the pref file and setting it back up again. so yes, 10.2.8 did have some kind of effect on how the dock works apparently.
