Passing along some interesting news I read.

TSS is DEAD...
Well I've officially been let go... along with a bunch of other people from TSS and three other shows. Kevin and Sarah are the only ones left on screen and I don't know what they are planning to do with them. The Screen Savers as you know it is GONE! We were rounded up today at 11am and told to be out of the office at 3pm... very smooth... So I wanted to take this time to say, Thank you... thank you to all of you who gave me the chance to enter your living rooms five days a week and try my best to make you smile. You, the fans of TSS, really made me feel like a million bucks. I know it was hard for some of you to see Patrick go, but I really appreciate you all giving me a chance. I just wish I could have more time to get to know you all...

It has been one of the best experiences of my life... Thank you...

This is unbelievable. Comcast has completely destroyed a good channel and made it the crap that it is now. Do they HONESTLY think that this G4 garbage is worthy of airtime?? I've watched the shows...they all suck. It's like watching public access TV. The shows are of very poor quality and the hosts are even worse. This is truly sad.

Well, if there's any hope at all for educating people about technology, I hope that the entire TechTV crew is able to start something new, bringing back what were the halcyon days of the old TechTV.
 
I too an sorry to see the gaming death of TechTV by the hands of G4. Looks like a time to drop that channel on my cable. I can only take so much gaming news. I do miss Call-For-Help.
 
the ONLY show that has any merit anymore on that channel is x-play. I hope this gives dan a chance to start up thebroken again. maybe he can pull yoshi and alex in on it.
 
I have 2 or 3 things to say:

#1. The Screensavers is not TSS without Leo Laporte. I met him and Patrick Norton at this seminar and they were some of the coolest guys ever.

#2. TechTV is dead like everything else.

#3. Killzone for PS2 looks awesome and I think Im going to re-buy a PS2 just to play it....OUR VICTORY IS IMMINENT. KNEEL BEFORE US.

why is G4/comcast such crap?! first they drop all the great shows Fresh Gear and Tech Live. Next, they move to LA (which is a brainless move as SF is a much better tech choice.) Then, they take away the awesome hosts/studio talents like Becky Whorly, Leo LaPort, and Patrick Norton. They added crap shows like Judgment Day and Cinematech (which can't even be classified as a show since it is a series of trailers.) And now they fsck up the screen savers.

the screen savers had pretty much been crap the last few weeks anyway. this past monday they did a segment that posed the question "why are mac users so fanatic". all they ended up doing was showing some mods and micro-models of macs. very stupid..

sarah has always kinda bothered me as she really reminds me of one of my ex gf's. the show would be best with just patric, leo, kevin and yoshi.
