Tiger Install problem

I installed tiger on my G4 powermac and it installed but when I boot up it asks for my username and password to be typed in. Whan I do this the screen shakes as though I typed the wrong password, the password is correct and will not let me log in. Will you please help me?

Are you using the keyboard "Return" key style? If so, try using the mouse click button after the password. If vise-versa , try the other way.
