Tiger to blame or enclosure?

An enclosure with a 30GB HD stalls when transferring files in Tiger but has no problem (same file transfer) in Leopard or Windows. I think its not the enclosure to blame i think it might be Tiger, but what might be the problem? Any suggestions?

Could it be the different computers not the OS? Perhaps the port in the Tiger computer is dodgy? Try a dif port maybe?

Sounds like the drive is formatted as FAT32. Ensure that you're not trying to copy any files that are incompatible with the FAT32 format (files larger than 4GB, files with symbols in their names, files that have names that are too long, etc.).

EDCC, why would that work on Leopard but not tiger then? Tiger read Fat32 as well as far as i recall.

Windows 95 also read FAT32 just fine, but there were improvements between Win95 and Windows Vista in terms of FAT32.

I'm not saying it's the definitive reason, I'm just saying that just because something works now doesn't mean it's always worked the same way. I think it's worth looking into, at the very least.

There arent any files with the specs you say (larger than 4GB, symbols, or too long) sutch files though would have issues on Leoppard too though... no?
What else should i be looking for anyway?

I did, and it was encountered on a group of files that had nothing to blame for as far as specs is concerned. When copied one at a time, no stall occured! Each file were 250MB, if thats worth anything!
