Time Machine copy Error Code -36

I've searched everywhere on the net regarding this problem. I have only found how to copy stuff over using terminal but the situation I have is different.

I had to wipe a drive of mine and use time machine to get back all the files. This partition didn't have the system folder in it. That partition worked fine.

I go to the highest level of the hard drive, enter into TM, select all, restore.
I am able to copy absolutely everything from that partition using TM but the ONLY things it won't copy are my DVD VIDEO_TS folders.

I've heard about .avi being a problem to copy and people just use terminal. I have no problems using terminal even though I'm not that experienced with it but how do I use terminal to copy files off of TM onto my hard drive?

Thanks in advance to all.

When boot into the Mac and having the time Machine disk mounted (locally on your desktop (just the disk image itself) open /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility and do a Repair Disk on it. See if that helps.

Thanks for your reply. I tried repairing the disk and verifying permissions. Everything seems to be ok with both disks. Is there any other suggestions?

Then try highlighting those files and doing a Get Info on them and changing the permissions manually so you can move them.
