Toast using to much CPU

Hey

I on a G4 1.2GHz 960MB plenty of HD space
when I run toast 7.0.1 or .2 to re-encode & burn a DVD it uses about
95% CPU
any advise?

Well: What do you expect? It takes what there _is_... Encoding video takes a lot of CPU power.
 
Like fryke said, video encoding is very processor-intensive. It will use up whatever free CPU cycles it can grab; however, this doesn't preclude you from using another application at the same time. If you launch another application, you'll notice that Toast's CPU usage drops as you use more CPU cycles in the new application.
