Trouble with the keychain password on OSX.2.8

I've been using OSX for some time now, and I recently lost (forgot) my keychain password. Big trouble on my part. Is there any way I can reset it? I've tried using the install disk for OSX.2, but, since I am using OSX.2.8, it won't let me reset the password. Does anyone know how I can do this?

The 10.2 disk should allow you to reset your password, when booted from that disk.
