UN-archiving files in MAC OS X?

I got this .bin file, I un-archive it using Archive Utility. Then I get a .bin.cpgz file. Then I un-archive it using Zippeg, then I get a .bin file again. How do I finally un archive the file?

an application my friend sent me, name is "coolapp" idk how that's gonna help you
one other thing he also said to open it with another .exe file, how do you do that?

Unless you have Boot Camp, Parallels, etc with Windows installed; you CANNOT use or open an .exe file/app. That's Windows only!

There are many different kinds of ".bin" files. It sounds like this one might be a disk image, in which case you could mount it with Toast or possibly Disk Utility.

But it also sounds like it's a Windows app, so there's probably not much point in trying.

Crossover might do as well, or Fusion if you have either.
