Unistall Background Scheduler for Chronosync

The subject line says most of it. After unsuccessful attempts to install the Chronosync unintaller (the eMac says it couldn't complete the install), I'm stuck once again with that annoying background scheduler circular icon at the top of my screen. Is there any simple way of removing it other than reinstalling Chronosync, which the Mac won't permit me to do, and short of installing the entire operating system? I'm not particularly expert with computers, Macs or otherwise. Thanks, Sparrowhawk.

Using the Cmd/Mouse drag was the first thing I tried. The icon doesn't respond to this, only shows the options for using Chronosync. It did work on that American flag icon a few days ago, however. Anything else we can try? Thanks, Sparrowhawk

i just managed to do it, but unchecking the option in chronosync preferences.
i am so sure that i did not see the option the last time i checked! it must have been there - my eyes did not see it :(

thanks for the post!
