Unix Executable Files

Hi Guys,

This is my first post so please be gentle!

I have an Intel imac and am trying to convert unix executable files to a format that can be recognised by itunes and then sync'd to my ipod touch. The file is an American Dad Season 2 DVD which doesnt help as there are quite a few files on the disc.

I've tried VLC which has been recommended which appears to be just a player which my mac DVD player does quite well!

Any help would appreciated!

Thanks

Matt

In your Applications folder there is a little app named DVD Player. It will play DVDs. It will also treat mounted .iso disc image files as real DVDs and play those as well.

What format are the files supposed to be in? Do they have a file extension (vob, wmv, mp4, mv4, avi, mkv, etc.)?

Does the disc play in a standalone DVD player -- is it a video DVD disc? Or is it a data DVD that contains movie files that must be played with some decoding software, like Quicktime or Windows Media Player?
