Hi,
I have iMac PowerPC G5 with MacOSX 10.4.1.
I can not update my system by using Updater directly downloaded from Apple's download site. Always I received the message about lack of free space on my hard drive which was, of course, not true.
Based on a lot of suggestions from Apple's Discussion site I made several steps:
- started up from OS X Installer disc and launched the Disk Utility from the Installer menu,
- in the Disk Utility status area I saw "verified" status,
- I repaired the disk: no errors ware reported ("no repairs were necessary"),
- I repaired permissions: process was completed successfully,
- by using Tiger Cache Cleaner I made cache cleaning.
After restart my Mac I tried to update again but without success ("not enough space on my hard drive").
Please, help me, suggest something.
Marek.
