I don't have "Airport" or an IPod.
I wish Apple would add a feature to "software update" to allow users to configure "software update" to ignore OSX updates for these products. As it is now, I must install this waste of time and disk space on my machine to make the "software update" selections go away.

Apple's Software Update already has this feature. And no, you don't have to install the updates if you don't want to.

Next time an update appears that you do not want or need, just "hide" it:
