uploading videos onto my mac

i have a sony cybershot digital camera, that is 6.0 megapixels. when i plug the usb into my mac, iphoto automatically opens and i import my pictures into iphoto. however, the videos just stay on my camera. i've checked quicktime and the videos have not been downloaded into quicktime. what should i do? thanks.

Does the camera come with Mac software? Also look on Sony's website for drivers and downloads for your camera. You may be able to use Sony's software to access the videos.

Most likely when you plug in and iPhoto launches etc, the mem card will also mount in the Finder. Plug the camera in, check the Finder and if the card is mounted likely you can just drag the vid files to the desktop.
