use stills in video clip

Hey, Im needing to incorporate still images throughout an established music video, ive looked in imovie and idvd 08, though cannot find anything to help.

Am I missing something? Can someone offer some advice, and/or the program that will be able to do this!

Let's see if I understand you correctly.

You have a video currently made by some one else and possibly copyrighted and protected and you want to add your own pictures/images to it and thereby creating a new video.

iMovie should be able to use photos from your iPhoto library as still images in a movie file. Have you tried importing an image from your iPhoto library, through the iPhoto library browser?

Yep, though it seems to take over the whole screen with a music playing behind it.
