Very Slow MacBook Pro

Hey guys, I have a 1st generation MacBook Pro. I installed Leopard and now it is very very slow. I get the colored circle all the time and a lot of "not responding" apps that I have to force quit.

Is there anything that I can do? Why is this happening?

I have a 2 GHZ with 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM

Thanks

Here is a photo of my processes:

Look at Console for console.log and system.log when the Mac seems particularly slow. It should be telling what is happening at that point.

Other than running Onyx (or another utility) and DiskWarrior, an increase to your max of 3G RAM may help. RAM is very cheap right now.

You need much more RAM. With Safari, iTunes and Mail running, you have 243 MB free and more importantly, your Swap File is 627 MB in size. An extra GB of RAM is going to help a lot as my Macbook with 2 GB ram hardly hits the swap file, even when playing games.
