go into the utilities folder and open process viewer.
or did you mean something different?
also use the top command in the terminal. as far asi know just type top. i don't know for sure though.
Well, I don't mean to view processes with process viewer or top, but events that occurs in th OS. Like syslog or in NT environment there is the Event Viewer for System, Security or Application events.
