Vpc 6.1 Upgrade

my vpc 6.1 upgrade (to vpc 5) which i have been using successfully for quite some time now, has begun refusing to boot up. when i try and run it, it gives me a message that says that it was closed down improperly. then scan disk begins to run and when it reaches 69% a message appears that says that it can't continue because of a file that is too long.

Are you trying to ask a specific question, or just giving us information?

If your virtual hard drive is damaged to the point that VirtualPC cannot fix it, you may be SOL and need to reinstall Windows onto a new virtual drive.
