.wav to .pcm converter?

Anyone know of a program that will allow this type of conversion?? Or some form of batch command I can use to convert it? I'm new to macs so you will probably need to go into detail on the specifics if there is some form of coding involved.

I am not sure, specifically, if FFmpegX, will work. It is a program for the Mac, that converts about anything into anything. Here is the link, check it out and see:

Eh? Isn't an uncompressed wav normally a PCM stream already?

Yes, but I get sent .wav files that I then need to convert into .pcm files that are then uploaded onto an IVR server. I basically need something that uncompresses the .wav into its .pcm form.

Haven't found a converter yet to go from Wav to PCM...there are quite a few that go the other way, of course.

As can be readily surmised from the Wikipedia link--or from a rudimentary knowledge of the phrase--PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) is generic for uncompressed digital audio. Try AIFF from PCM and/or SoundConverter.

It seems that pcm is an uncompressed wav. Is it possible that the wavs you're receiving were from pcm's originally? Maybe someone up your supply chain can give you the format you require instead of making you convert all your files?
