What about a notebook cooler?

After I keep on loading music on to my ipod for more 40mins... my ibook turns very hot and a bit backward :( . I don't like a hot ibook at all... to many complications it might cause (unstable, blunt, freezing screen...) . That just can't be right. Therefore I try a notebook cooler which does cool my ibook within 15 mins for around 10 degrees (centigrade). I was wondering if there is any one has the same experience as I have? and how do you fellows think about a notebook cooler? Personally, I think it is really handy and it works
efficiently; it should be good for the operation of notebooks ::love:: . here is a link for you fellows reference:

Save Your Notebook From Overheating Complication!!

Looks like spam to me.

And those notebook coolers are overpriced junk. In the unlikely event that your iBook is running hot, pop down to the hardware store, buy a $2 packet of clear rubber furniture protectors (dome shaped, around 6-8mm, I believe 3M make a version of these) and fix four of them along the underside on the hinge edge.

This will lift the iBook off your desk, allowing air circulation underneath, and also gives the keyboard a few degrees of tilt, making it much easier to type on. If you make sure you get the transparent ones with transparent adhesive, and line them up neatly, it will look very smart.

no no no, this is not a spam or ad.
to be frankly, after my posting my thought of this notebook cooling thing for sharing... i almost throw up... :( it's a very tiring thing...
however, this overheat problem did bother me for quite a while, and i've seen too many fellows run into various problems for the same reason.

i know that there are lots of alternative methods that can help a hot n/b, yet, a notebook cooler is the most handy one.

overprice junk?? partially i agree with u... some better look or super-function models are really pricey but they are not junk... they works.

for the more budget solution... i've hear some sort of plastic supports which can lift your notebook up for the space of ventilation... that can be even cheaper and more convenient :D

I have a hard time believing that you almost threw up after posting this thinking about someone's notebook overheating. That's a little extreme. Maybe I just don't understand the reasons why the thought of notebooks overheating make you sick to your stomach -- explain?

If your notebook is overheating from normal use, then you have a defective notebook that should be returned to the manufacturer immediately. Notebooks will NOT overheat under normal use under any circumstances as long as you stay within the recommended operating limits (it's common sense that if you use your notebook computer in the middle of a 140-degree desert in direct sunlight, you're an idiot).

Now... why do we NEED a notebook cooler again?
