What is the maximum time that my iMac (the one in my sig.) should be continuously turned on for? (If it's in sleep mode OR fully powered on)
Thanks

Maximum? I don't think there is a maximum time that you can leave your system up.
I've had my system on for about 6 months, I guess. I would shut it off if I have to leave home for more than a day or two, otherwise it is simply on, and asleep if I am not at the computer. That's not the same as 'uptime' as I have restarted various times during that period, but my Mac is almost always on, usually sleeping.
The main thing to consider is the reliability of your power. If you don't have a UPS, and your local power is not too reliable, then I might recommend shut down, and not sleep.

By hardware standards - you can leave the iMac ON, whether or not you decided to utilize 'sleep', indefinitely.

However, software (more specifically - MacOS X 10.0.0 - 10.4.8) wise, the iMac will become sluggish over time. Once again - the reason being inappropriate memory (including 'leaks'), and cache and log files, management.

'... just untill I reboot??' - until Apple Com...., opps - 'Apple, Inc.' fixes the low level features (problems); or, realistically - you reboot the iMac.

Actually, a logout and login would be enough, probably. But since rebooting doesn't take much more time, that's what I do. Actually, I only seem to be doing this when some software update requires it.
