What kind of memory for iBook G4

I've got a 256mb iBook G4

My distributor recommends going for the Transcend Apple ram, but I suspect the regualr transend, Micron, etc. will work. I'm just not sure what the gamble is on getting ram. The price difference is $162 for 512mb Transcend Apple ram, and $119 for regular Transcend or Micron chip ram. Alternatively, I also have 333mhz from Samsung and infineon available.

My distributor tells me that my iBook will not take anything but Apple certified ram, but I know that's a load of poop, right?
 
Of course, you only need 266 MHz, the 333 would work, but not worth the extra cost, if you can get the 266 MHz.
Get whatever you think will work, but consider that a distributor may have good memory that just didn't work in iBooks, even though within specs. Just make sure you can return whatever you get, if your choice turns out wrong. :p

So, you're not pricing 1 GB chips? :)
