What's Happened To Pages In Yosemite?

Nope.
Pages, along with other Apple apps, has had updates in the last week, mostly to better support Yosemite.
Go to your App Store/Updates - where you should see that a Pages update is available (or already downloaded and just needs to install!)
 
Then find Pages in the App Store, and "purchase" it. It will then move to your purchased apps, where you can download it.
(It will be free, assuming that you already have iWorks apps on your Mac)
 
I think that you are assuming incorrectly...
Go to the App Store, choose the Store menu, then Check for Unfinished Downloads.
Then, View My Account. Click the Reset all warnings button.
Finally, check again for updates. If you have already purchased Pages - or it is already installed - you should see an update available.
Finally, if you have already purchased (which you can check in iTunes/Store menu/View Account, then See All under Purchase History), then purchasing now should be free (even if the store seems to tell you that you have to purchase again - it's just a re-purchase with no actual purchase, you have already purchased, eh? :D )
And you should now have Pages.
 
No, it's not showing. I have never bought Pages though. I believe it came free with one of the past OS, and I've never had to purchase it since.

Pages has not been a standard install on a new Mac, nor has it ever been part of an OS X system install. It has always been an extra purchase. However, because there is a variety of ways to get Pages, it could appear to be free - but, in fact, is not free software.
Again, if you had a backup with Pages installed, then using that backup to restore your system may allow you to download the Pages update for free. Otherwise, if you need Pages for some purpose, you will need to purchase it.
 
OK., thanks for clarifying. I retrieved the app using Time Machine. I don't understand why the standard OS doesn't include Pages or something like (office software). Pretty sure ever since I've owned a Mac I've had some built-in program to do this job.
 
Apple has officially announced new versions of its iWork suite — Pages, Keynotes and Numbers. Each of the apps have received some ‘flattening’ UI changes to match the aesthetic of OS X Yosemite. This is what I found online, but I haven't figrued out how to update this thing yet.
