Which adapter? connecting 2 monitors to G5 1.8ghz

Hello,

Could anyone be kind enough to tell me what kind of adapter I need....

I have one of the first G5s, the 1.8Ghz powermac. I want to connect two monitors, the first I am connecting with the adapter that comes with the computer. the second moitor which has the same connector as the first monitor (i think its a vga... 3 rows of 5 pins) i need to put into the other port of the g5.

any help would be really appreciated. cheers.

If you have a VGA monitor, and want to connect it to a DVI port on the G5, you need something like this:

The PowerMac G5 would come with a DVI-VGA adapter. But those G5s would have a video card that also has an ADC connector - which resembles the DVI connector, but is more oval in shape. You will need an ADC-VGA adapter to connect a second VGA monitor. Sorry, I was thinking about the graphics card in my old G4. The older G5's have a DVI and ADC port, so the above adapter is what you need.
