will this work on my g5

i just saw this really good deal on a 200gig hd from circuit city. will this work on a g5? it says mac os X on the description?

I believe that the Power Mac G5 uses Serial ATA, so unless you get an ATA/IDE controller or an IDE to Serial ATA adapter, you won't be able to use this.

I would get an actualy Serial ATA hard drive though.

As far as I know, any SATA hard drive should work. If anyone knows whether one would be incompatible, speak now or forever hold your peace.

30 bucks is great for that after the rebate, but G5 can't use that. Sata drives are numerous and you should get a 200gig one for under $100 in most places.
