I don't get this!
for months i've been trying to install windows media player for mac osx (9.0) on my g5... every time i try to use it, it imediately crashes!!! w/tiger 10.4.2!

i've downloaded it several times, restarted my computer, and it doesn't even turn on, before it crashes!
i get so frustrated. i move on, putting the issue on the back burner.

now, i just want some help.

I have answered this Windows Media question already about 5 times on this board. The current Windows Media Player is broken (blame Microsoft). A user can NOT use an alternate skin, even the ones supplied in the application. To fix this delete ~/Library/Preferences/Windows Media Player Prefs . Then ONLY use the supplied DEFAULT Windows Media Player skin. Then email Microsoft to have them fix the bug. The more voices the better.
