Windows Media Player version 9 not working

I have two computers...a G4 Dual 500mhz processor running OS10.4.6 which I have cleaned up fairly substantially, run all the necessary diagnostics, etc...but for some reason, windows media player no longer runs on this platform...and it used to. It just quits on me and I get a message telling me so.
I also have a powerbook titanium (new) which has it and it runs flawlessly...I've uninstalled and reinstalled but to no luck...anyone have any thoughts?

Try this instead:

It'll let you view WMV content via QuickTime Player, and works pretty well.

I second the Flip4Mac suggestion: It rocks my socks!

... It also works pretty well on my PowerBook, too!
