My basic setup:
basestation: Mac G4 (mirror face) desktop connected to the internet using bellsouth fastaccess dsl via a westell model 327w modem/wireless router.
remote laptop: MacBook Pro 15" (just purchased last week) w/ built-in airport card.
My basic problem:
I cannot get my wireless connection from the laptop fully established. It's strange b/c the two pieces of equipment apparently recognize one another and are communicating (The airport in my laptop sees the network and my system prefs>network status shows a green light and says that "airport is connected to the network westxxxx. you are connected to the internet via airport"), but when I launch safari, i just get a screen that says "you are not connected to the internet can't open the page because your computer isn't connected to the internet." I've managed to turn all wireless security/password features off (I think). The "wireless" status light on the modem/router flashes green but never goes solid green.
Anybody got any ideas?
