I have a MacBook & can not find the word processor. Please help.

What are you looking for ?
A free word processor ?
- You will find TextEdit in the Applications folder
- If you need a more complete software system, you can download OpenOffice from Internet ( http://www.openoffice.org )

A paid word processor ?
- Microsoft Word
- Apple Pages

A full word processor was not included unless you asked and paid for it. This is because everyone has different needs and likes.

Apple Pages comes in the iWorks package.

In addition, I've heard good things about Bean, which is a free word processing program. I've not tried it out, but it might be worth a look if you want something relatively simple.

Another word processor that people seem to like, although not free, is Mellel. Mellel seems to be aimed at more technical writing and also integrates with different reference management programs out there.

If you want an OS X looking version of OpenOffice then look no further then the free NeoOffice.
