x11 crashing in panther

I'm running 10.3.3 and the x11 and x11sdk installed from apple. I had x11 working before now when i open it will stay open for about 5 seconds then close. No error no nothing. I tried deleting x11 and reinstalling x11 and x11sdk from the cd but still the same thing. Any one have any idea? Thanks in advance

Also i just tried opening terminal and it didn't even open the icon bounced like it was trying to load then stopped.
 
That sounds like a permissions problem, open Disk Utility and Repair Permissions on your startup volume.
