Xserve Connectivity

I am still new in learning Xserve. (I hope I've posted at the correct category).
I just wanna know how to config/connect three iBooks to the Xserve and how to form a network that consists of the connection that i stated (iBooks and Xserve) with the print, mail and fax server/machine.
Really hope to hear some response from you guys.

So what kind of network do you want? Wired? Wireless?

What kind of equipment do you have in terms of routers, hubs/switches and cabling?

I want to hv a wired network which will include the router. I'm not sure what do u mean by 'what kind of equipment?'. Pls make it clear for me. Thanks for ur response
